Getting startedStep 1: Request your appointment(s) or admission

To request an appointment or admission, please do one of the following:

  • Call our International Helpline (+39) 02 26436960 hours: 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. CET, Monday through Friday, hours: 7.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. GMT
  • Complete an online inquiry
  • Send us an email request along with your details and contact information on IPP@hsr.it

Once we receive your request, your international Case Manager will contact you within one business day to gather more detailed information.

Step 2: Receive your appointment/admission confirmation

Your International Case Manager will call/write to confirm your appointment shortly after we receive request. We’ll inform you of the name of your doctor, the time, date and location of your appointment, and other important information you need to know before traveling. If you also wish us to make travel or hotel arrangement for you, please let your international Case Manager know so we can take care of that for you.

Step 3: If you have previous medical records in English, send them to IPP@hsr.it

  • Current diagnosis
  • Films (X-ray, MRI, CT scan, ultrasound)
  • Biopsy results

If you don’t have medical records or they are not relevant to this appointment go to Step 4 In order to protect your confidentiality this material will only be accessible to your International Case Manager and to your designated Physician in Ospedale San Raffaele. If you have material that is too large or cannot be sent by email (e.g. films) your Case manager will provide you a postal address to ship it to us.

Step 4: Receive a cost estimate and make a deposit

Our dedicated International Private Patients registration office will assist you with preparing estimates, understanding the bill, providing payments, verifying insurance or embassy coverage and delivering a convenient final bill within 30 days of your visit.

Step 5: Prepare your visa requirements

Once your appointment has been confirmed, your international Case Manager will send an appointment confirmation that can be used when you complete your visa application if it is required from your country. Let us know if you require a visa letter for your application.
